Hi! I’m Jenna. I launched Beheld in December 2023 with a simple goal: to raise the bar for artwork in children’s spaces. Too often, the art marketed for kids’ decor is mass-produced, generic, and designed to be disposable. I wanted to offer something better—original, thoughtfully created pieces by Canadian artists that feel lasting, personal, and beautiful enough to grow with your family.

I grew up in a family of creatives—painters, photographers, fashion designers, and entrepreneurs. In our home, art wasn’t just something that hung on the walls; it was part of our everyday language. That early exposure shaped my belief that art can be so much more than decor—it can tell a story, hold a memory, and become something lasting to pass down. Beheld was born from that belief. I wanted to create a way for families to connect with original artwork that feels personal—pieces that reflect their values and aesthetic, and that grow with their children rather than get outgrown. Timeless, meaningful art that becomes part of a family’s story.

I’m a fourth-generation Torontonian, but I’ve also lived, studied, and worked in Halifax, Montreal, Vancouver, and Edinburgh. Now back in Toronto, I live with my husband and our three young sons. Like many parents, I want the spaces my kids spend time in to be inspiring, warm, and reflective of who we are. And I believe the right piece of art can do exactly that—bring a room to life, spark imagination, and hold meaning for years to come.
