ABOUT US

Jenna Shelley launched Beheld in December 2023 with the goal of reimagining and elevating the current market offering of artwork curated for young people’s spaces. She envisioned moving away from the fast fashion of anonymous, mass-produced pieces, and towards connecting families with Canadian Artists, and a diverse selection of timeless, original artwork.

Growing up in an extended family of painters, photographers, and fashion designers, Jenna has experienced firsthand art’s power to connect us. She loves artwork with a story, and the idea of passing things down. Art can be more than just decor; it can serve as an heirloom.

Beheld aims to bring you and your young people closer to the Artist, so that you can feel empowered to choose artwork that reflects your personal taste, values, and ethos. Art your kids won’t outgrow.

Jenna is a 4th generation Torontonian. She has lived, studied, and worked in Halifax, Montreal, Vancouver, and Edinburgh, Scotland. Jenna currently lives in Toronto with her husband and three young sons.

Artists

Beheld is proud to support and work with a community of Canadian Artists. These incredible Artists are painters, illustrators, photographers, and craftspeople, and their artwork makes up our collection of exclusive and unique pieces.

A supported Artist community lies at the heart of our company and remains a key investment focus as we grow and evolve. Our objective is to support the Artists that we collaborate with, by sharing a diverse and beautifully curated selection of their exclusive artwork with collectors. If you are an Artist interested in working with us, or a collector with questions about our Artist community, please get in touch at hello@beheld.ca.
