Crystal Beshara is an international award-winning contemporary realist painter. She has exhibited and won international acclaim for her artwork in both watercolour and oil. Self-taught, Crystal draws inspiration from her rural roots, growing up as a child in Eastern Ontario.

Moving easily between watercolour, oil, pastel & graphite, Crystal navigates a fine line between anatomical accuracy and expressionism. Her work is recognizable with its rich, earth toned palette and compelling, emotionally charged floral and animal portraits. Crystal has exhibited alongside some of North America’s greatest Wildlife painters such as Robert Bateman, John-Seerey Lester, Greg Beecham, Kathy Ellem and Theresa Elliot.

Crystal holds a BFA in Studio and a Botanical Illustration diploma from the Society of Botanical Artists (UK), and is a published author and Children’s Book Illustrator. She currently lives in the countryside between Ottawa, Ontario and Montreal Quebec with her husband and their two dogs.
