Ooloosie is an emerging artist, working in Kinngait. Born 1991, Saila is the granddaughter of talented sculptor and graphic artists Patua Saila (1916-2009) and Pitaloosie Saila (1942-2021). At age 14, she won first prize at her high school drawing contest and began selling her drawings to the Cape Dorset Co-op in 2015. Ooloosie continues to explore many diverse themes and ideas in her artwork, featured in national and international exhibitions.
